How to save fuel on wheel construction machine

To minimize the resistance and acceleration resistance, etc. while transporting, since large resistance need more fuel. 

If speed of construction is less than 400km/h, the air resistance is negligible. It should be noted that the rolling resistance. 

When construction machine is running on an uneven road, deformation of suspension device and tire will increase due to frequently movement up and down, 

then leading to rolling resistance increasing, as compared with the case on good roads, 30% -50% fuel consumption will add. 

Therefore, it is a must to fix and keep a good construction road. 

Meanwhile, tire pressure also has great effect on rolling resistance. 

If reducing the tire pressure on a hard surface, the tire will deform and rolling resistance will increase. 

If lowering tire pressure on loose surface, the contact area between the tire and the ground is increased, the pressure per unit area drop, which will make rolling resistance decreasing. 

Therefore, pay attention to changing of road conditions, select the appropriate tire pressure to reduce fuel consumption. 

Since each gear ratio of transmission has a great impact on fuel consumption, try to use small and high-speed gear ratios during operation, which can save fuel.

Increase the engine compression ratio to the standard value. 

Diesel engine compression ratio is generally between 16-22. 

The compression ratio increases, then temperature and pressure increase after compression, which is good for combustion and expansion of gas mixture, 

and improving the thermal efficiency of the engine, the effective power increasing, the fuel consumption being reduced. 

Specific measures are: reducing the resistance of the air intake system. Filters should be promptly cleaning, maintenance, to ensure there is enough air into the cylinder in a timely manner. 

Keep the vehicle with good condition. 

To the cylinder pressure of the engine, the diesel engine is generally not lower than 20% of the standard pressure of the original machine, gasoline engine is not less than 30%. 

For the difference between the pressure of each cylinder, diesel engines generally require less than 8%, no more than 10% of the gasoline. 

If the cylinder pressure less than the required standard, it needs to grind valves and replace piston rings, etc. 

It should also be noted that coke in the combustion chamber has a tendency to automatically increase the compression ratio,

 the higher compression ratio and coke will make cylinder easily explosion and cause fuel consumption increasing, and therefore it is necessary to remove coke. 

In addition, inlet and exhaust valves of the gap must be adjusted to a predetermined value because it will cause an increase in fuel consumption if the gap is too large or too small. 

Correct fuel supply advance angle of angel. It can lead to fuel consumption of the engine increasing when fuel supply advance angle is too large or too small.

 Therefore, fuel supply advance angle must be calibrated to make good use of the engine performance.

Reduce the unit load fuel consumption. If the conditions of construction machine situation permits, increase the load to the rated load, 

then improve productivity, but also make a significantly declining in unit weight of fuel consumption.
