GE Energy

U.S. power industry giant GE Energy Company is one of the world's leading wind turbine suppliers. The company started to enter the wind power business in 2002. According to the Global Wind Energy Council statistics, till 2009, GE Energy's total installed capacity ranked fourth in the world, reaching 15,000 megawatts. Currently, GE has six wind turbine manufacturing and assembly plants in Germany, Spain, China and the United States.

Like many same enterprises, GE Energy company not only provides better quality windmill blades, and can provide advanced unit manufacture, maintenance programs and other services. Currently, GE Energy's windmill products capacity is between 1.5 MW and 3.6 MW, all of which have variable speed and pitch operation characteristics, and are equipped with the unique electronic control device, not only can be used onshore wind farms, and also can be used for offshore wind farms.

The first wind turbine plant of GE Energy in China was built in 2006, located in Shenyang, is responsible for Chinese market. GE set up research and development center in Shanghai, which consists of wind turbine R & D department, design department and System Division, which is one of the company's four global research centers. Asia's largest wind farm - China Yudong wind farm adopted 144 units of 1.5-megawatt wind turbines of GE. This is one of the best models of global sales. According to data shown, by the end of 2008, more than 10000units had already sold in the world. GE wind power market position in China has grown and market share is up to 20% in China.

Among of global top ranking wind turbine companies, the German company's strength can not be ignored. Based on technology, most of them got a firm place due to sophisticated manufacturing technology in the industry.
